Brother Benji

Brother Benji is a Chicago-based musical artist  whose melodic records emanate infectious soulful vibes. He proudly hails from Joliet, IL where his music journey began as a child, leading soul-stirring gospel selections in his church choir. These days, he lifts his voice delivering messages of positivity, pride, perseverance and political awareness. His style has been described by Zangba Thomson of Bong Mines Entertainment as “…blending modern sounds with vintage inspirations, resulting in a unique listening experience.” Benji hopes those who come across his music find food for thought, catchy grooves, and a good time. Benji dropped his first project a 3-song EP titled This Is My Mood on Valentines Day 2025. The title track is a soulful original song accompanied by impressive covers of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" and Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine. A few months later, he released  a single about lost love called "Love Again". Benji followed up these initial releases with a 2-song EP called No Mo'! The EP's tracks "Mr. Nice Guy" & "Cut It" are both early Pandemic-era cuts and  Benji's very first recordings. Benji is planning for new releases in Spring 2026. First up is an inspirational track called "On My Way". His third EP, an original three-song project, is also on its way!
